Chiba University is proud to announce that four of our researchers have been selected to receive the prestigious 2025 Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of science and technology.
Each year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) presents these awards to individuals who have made significant achievements in research development, or who have helped deepen public understanding of science and technology, with the aim of raising Japan's scientific and technological foundation.
This year, two researchers were awarded in the Research Category of the Awards for Science and Technology, while the other two received the Young Scientists' Award.

The Young Scientists' Award honors early-career researchers under the age of 40 who have demonstrated exceptional research achievements, such as pioneering studies or work carried out from a unique and original perspective, reflecting their advanced research and development capabilities.
